A 22-year-old Clarence Center man admitted in Niagara County Court Wednesday that he sent sexually explicit messages to a 13-year-old Town of Lockport girl on his cellphone earlier this year.
Patrick K. Hatswell, who was living in the Town of Lockport at the time of the crime May 17, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted dissemination of indecent material to a minor. He faces up to four years in state prison when he is sentenced April 22 by Judge Matthew J. Murphy III.
Assistant District Attorney Lisa M. Baehre said Hatswell asked the girl to take explicit photos of herself and to say certain words to him over the phone.
Hatswell will have to register as a sex offender, Baehre said.
