An Allegany County man has been accused of providing the heroin and fentanyl used in a fatal drug overdose last week, the State Police announced Monday.
Michael J. Perkins, 38, faces charges in connection with an overdose death that happened Nov. 12 in Bolivar, troopers said in a news release.
Perkins, of Bolivar, was charged Friday with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminally negligent homicide, police said. He was arraigned in Friendship Town Court and was being held in Allegany County Jail.
He was charged after an investigation by the state Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team and troopers in the Bureau of Criminal Investigation out of the Amity barracks.
