Billy Joel to play New Era Field on Aug. 15

Billy Joel will play New Era Field on Aug. 15, 2020, it was announced at a news conference this morning including Buffalo Bills owner and President Kim Pegula, and officials from Live Nation.

Tickets are $64.50 to $184.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 22 through livenation.com and ticketmaster.com. A presale for American Express card members runs from 10 a.m. Nov. 18 to 10 p.m. Nov. 21.

The most recent concert at New Era Field was when Beyoncé and Jay-Z's "On the Run II" tour stopped in Orchard Park on Aug. 18, 2018.

Concerts at New Era Field returned in 2015 after a 14-year absence. In addition to the Beyoncé and Jay-Z show, recent concerts have included:

* The Rolling Stones on July 11, 2015
* One Direction on Sept. 3, 2015
* Guns N' Roses on Aug. 16, 2017
* U2 on Sept. 5, 2017

Billy Joel's website lists other announced U.S. stadium shows in 2020 at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium on April 18; South Bend, Ind.'s Notre Dame Stadium on June 20; Detroit's Comerica Park on July 10; Boston's Fenway Park on Aug. 28; and Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park on Sept. 11.

Billy Joel last appeared in Buffalo in a 2010 show with Elton John at KeyBank Center (then HSBC Arena). Other concerts have included 2007 in HSBC Arena, 2003 with Elton John at HSBC Arena, 1994 at Memorial Auditorium and 1994 with Elton John at Rich Stadium.
