5 arrested on drug charges after raid at Salamanca residence

Five people were arrested on drug charges following an investigation into the alleged selling of narcotics at a Salamanca residence, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office.

The resident, 46-year-old Brenda Anderson, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, after the Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at the Murray Avenue address.

Also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and criminally using drug paraphernalia were Brett Williams, 23, of Coldspring; Ashley Oakes, 21, of Salamanca; Jaquan Owens, 28, of Buffalo; and Johnathan Saracina, of Angola, who were all arrested Wednesday evening, deputies said.

During the search, law enforcement officers allegedly seized bags of crack cocaine that were packaged for sale, crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to the Sheriff's Office.
