Award-winning cookbook author Molly Stevens is coming back to Buffalo on Sunday to launch her new work as part of the Larkin Square Author Series.
The free event, at 745 Seneca St., begins at 3 p.m. Stevens, a Nichols School alumna, will have a conversation with me about her book, cooking in general and take audience questions.
The new book applies Stevens’ methodical, analytical approach and no-fuss aesthetic to the daily struggle of deciding how and what to feed our families. Cooking students have long asked what she cooks at home, Stevens writes in its introduction.
“And so, after some 40 years of standing in front of one kind of stove or another, I decided that perhaps my students deserved an answer after all. This book is that answer.”
Stevens, whose 2005 book “All About Braising” won numerous awards, spent five years researching roasting techniques and fine-tuning recipes for “All About Roasting.” That tome took the James Beard award for single-subject cookbook in 2012.
