It was a tale of two halves for Bills fans: Buffalo trotted off the field to boos at halftime but the New Era Field faithful left with their heads high as the Bills improved to 5-1, beating Miami, 31-21.
Even though the win wasn't as comfortable as #BillsMafia would have liked, both satisfaction and relief dominated the Twitter stream late in the fourth quarter and immediately after the game.
Here are some of those tweets from local fans:
Dude the NOISE on the CBS broadcast of the Bills game...how can you claim that we don’t have the best fans in the league

Can everyone learn to not count the bills out every single game at the half because you should all know by now that we like the second half A LOT

Tre White saves the #Bills. A top player who made plays on a day almost nobody else did.

Josh Allen just launched the ball WAY out of the end zone, as in almost out of the stadium, after a successful two-point conversion. That will be a cool souvenir for someone. #Bills

The Bills know it’s Halloween season so they tricked us the first half just to follow up with this treat of a second half, it’s all in good fun

Dude being in the stadium when the Bills return an onside kick for a TD just hits different than seeing it on TV

How big was McDermott’s (correct) decision to go for 2 now?

Everyone is worried but the Bills haven't lost a game this season when winning at the end of the game, so just r-e-l-a-x

following bills games via twitter alone is always a wild experience
— depressed buffalos (@depressedbflos) October 20, 2019
The betting line suggested that the Bills - 16.5-point favorites - would have a cakewalk with Miami, but former Buffalo gunslinger Ryan Fitzpatrick rode an efficient first half to suggest the Dolphins could earn the first win of their season on Sunday.
As Josh Allen struggled, penalties plagued the Bills and the defense looked ordinary, #BillsMafia was both shocked and despondent for the game's first 30 minutes.
I don’t want to get yelled at by Bills twitter again but the guy the Bills have to throw the ball may be a problem

As bad as this joke is it is still better than the Bills today

Tweet we are still not quite sure what to do with:
If Josh Allen and Ryan Fitzpatrick had a baby it would look like this #Bills game.
