After arresting a Niagara Falls man for driving without a valid license last Thursday, Niagara Falls Police Officer Jordan Collins got to do it all again the next day when he spotted the same man driving again.
Collins was issuing parking tickets in the 1000 block of 19th Street Thursday afternoon when he came across a vehicle with an expired inspection. Upon checking the driver's license, Collins learned that Alfred J. Maye, 27, did not have a valid one, and he also had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to pay a fine, according to police reports.
Maye was charged with unlicensed operation, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation and a seat belt violation, police said.
On Friday, Collins spotted Maye driving in the 500 block of Sixth Street, police said. Maye parked in a handicapped parking space, then tried to run away after spotting Collins. He was charged with unlicensed operation, a handicapped parking violation and an equipment violation for having two bald tires on his vehicle, according to police reports.
