Man breaks window after ejection from Niagara Falls bar, charged with DWI

A man was charged with driving while intoxicated early Saturday after he allegedly broke a window after being ejected from a tavern, Niagara Falls police reported.

Employees of the Wagon Wheel Restaurant, 7201 Niagara Falls Blvd., told police the man was drunk and was thrown out of the bar just after 1 a.m., but later returned and broke a window before fleeing in his car.

The vehicle was pulled over a short time later and officers charged Paul A. Light, 40, of Hyde Park Boulevard, with driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired, failure to yield right-of-way to an emergency vehicle and third-degree criminal mischief for the broken window.
