Kaye was the oldest of 10 children, born to Michael and Genevieve Campbell, in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, in 1928 and relocated to Buffalo in 1961. She worked as a cafeteria worker at Burgard High School, and later ran the lunch program at PS#65 on Skillen St. in Riverside. After retiring from the school job, she worked 29 years at Mailboxes Etc./The UPS Store in the Delaware/Hertel Plaza, in Buffalo, retiring in 2016.In addition to her husband Joseph, she was predeceased by infant grandson Stephen, as well as her brother Ronald and sisters Margaret, Eunice McMullen and Leona Ross. She is also survived by sisters Alexis Campbell, of Buffalo, Patricia Chura (Bud) of Orleans, Ontario, Genevieve Connors (Clint) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Pauline Buda (Albert) of Mooresville, NC, and brother Michael (Jeannie) of Dartmouth Nova Scotia. Her sister Alexis was a near constant companion and huge help providing comfort and care right up to the end. Hospice was a great help the last two weeks and we commend the kind and caring people from this vital agency. Special thanks also to her personal physician, Dr. Jonathon Kessler, who stayed on her case to the end, as well as the wonderful personal care aides were able to be hired to help provide care for Kaye around the clock the last few weeks. This was a great comfort to her. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no service, but memorials in her name can be sent to The Hospice Foundation of WNY, PO Box 590, Buffalo, NY 14240 or to Kenmore United Methodist Church, 32 Landers Rd., Kenmore, NY 14217.
