Interim president Murabito among contenders for permanent job at NCCC

William J. Murabito, interim president of Niagara County Community College since October 2017, is one of the four finalists in NCCC's second search of the year for a new president.

Murabito played no role in the first search, which flopped in May when no candidate could muster the necessary six votes on the Board of Trustees.

This time, Murabito is on the list of finalists along with Julia S. Ingersoll, executive vice president at Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, Pa.; Denise King, vice president for academic affairs at Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tenn.; and Johnny M. Moore, president of Pierpont Community and Technical College in Fairmont, W.Va.

Each will be available for questioning by the public during forums next week: Moore on Tuesday, Murabito on Wednesday, King on Thursday and Ingersoll on Friday.

The sessions will be held from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. in the Building G cafeteria on the Sanborn campus.
