Erica Brecher and Andrew Baglini of WIVB welcome a new Bills' fan

There are plenty of ways to tell the world that your child has been born.

Andrew Baglini of WIVB went with Twitter.

“Won the bye week. Introducing Matthew Thomas Baglini,” he tweeted Sunday.

Baglini, a station meteorologist, and his wife, WIVB weekend anchor and reporter Erica Brecher, welcomed their son into the world Saturday morning.

He was alluding to the fact that Matthew was born on a weekend in which the Buffalo Bills had a bye.

WGRZ meteorologist Jennifer Stanonis made some news of her own Sunday. She announced on the 6 p.m. newscast and on Twitter that she is leaving the station after seven years to "focus more time on my family, three young kids!" Before joining WGRZ, she was a meteorologist at WKBW.

Former Buffalo Bills star James Lofton will be the analyst and Andrew Catalon will do play-by-play for the Bills home game Sunday with Miami carried by WIVB, the local CBS affiliate.

Catalon worked the Bills preseason games with Steve Tasker. After I tweeted the news last week, Lofton tweeted back: “looking forward” to the game and added “and having some wings!!” I suspect he may be headed to Bar-Bill Tavern in East Aurora with Catalon.
