Incentives sought for Buffalo Fuel Corp. move to Town of Niagara

Santarosa Holdings of Niagara Falls asked the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency Wednesday for a 10-year incentive package to acquire a vacant warehouse at 3501 Hyde Park Blvd., Town of Niagara, and convert it into a truck and maintenance shop for Buffalo Fuel Corp.

Grant Wooley, controller of Santarosa and Buffalo Fuel, said the company needs to move from its current location at 4870 Packard Road, Niagara Falls, so it can lease part of the facility for a new recycling center for fibers and plastics.

Buffalo Fuel specializes in hauling hazardous materials and general freight, according to its website.

The $820,000 project would create three to five jobs at the company, which now employs about 13 people, Wooley said. The incentives would include reduced property taxes and exemptions from paying mortgage recording tax and sales tax on building materials and furnishings. They would save the company $164,000 over 10 years, the NCIDA estimated.
