SMITH, Lisa (Wallace)

SMITH - Lisa (nee Wallace)
Of Greece, NY, was born on March 21, 1958 in Greenwich, CT and passed away peacefully on October 3, 2019, after a hard-fought battle with ovarian cancer. Lisa's greatest treasures in life were people, and she was famous for her long hugs and making you feel like you were the most important person in the world, because to her you were. She had a beautiful voice and was known in the 80's Buffalo music scene for bands such as Raging Hearts, Sapphire Crush and Lace, and for keeping Aquanet hairspray in business. She would do anything to make her friends and family laugh, and her own smile lit up the room. She loved her work in healthcare; being able to help patients gave her so much joy. Lisa is survived by her husband, Michael J. Smith; daughter, Lindsey Breen; son, Jason (Molly) Breen; three grandchildren, Sawyer, Hudson and Slater Breen; mother, Helen (Herb, late) Brown; father, Milt (Barb) Wallace; sister, Sandy (Rob) Bouren; brother, Buddy (Diana) Wallace; step-sisters Sharon Brown and Karen (Dave) Kuzma; many beloved nieces, nephews, in-laws and her kitties Buddy and Squidget. Her favorite saying was "never leave one I love you unsaid" and she didn't. Lisa's family would like to especially thank the East 5 team of angels at Highland Hospital, Palliative and Hospice Care. Memorials may be made in her name to Palliative Care at Highland Hospital (https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/highland/giving.aspx). A Celebration of Life for Lisa will be held Friday, October 11 at 7 PM at Oasis Christian Fellowship, 2070 Five Mile Line Rd., Penfield, NY 14526.
