Vote for the Prep Talk Girls Athlete of the Week (Oct. 7)

We are asking readers to help choose our Buffalo News Prep Talk Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Sgroi Financial. 

You can vote in the poll embedded below until noon Thursday.

Each Athlete of the Week winner will be eligible for the Athlete of the Year poll conducted in the spring.

Here are this week's candidates:

Anna Bean, East Aurora, soccer — Freshman scored three goals in two victories, including overtime winner against Pioneer.

Sam Hare, Mount St. Mary, volleyball — Reached 1,000 career digs milestone with 17 in five-set victory over Nichols.

Grace Kulniszewski, Iroquois, soccer — Scored five goals in 3-0 week to to raise school-record tally to 107 in her career. Ranks second in Section VI with 59 points (23 goals, 13 assists) for 12-0 Chiefs.

Angelina Napolean, Allegany-Limestone, cross-country — Freshman won the Southern Tier Classic with a time of 18 minutes, 53 seconds on the St. Bonaventure University course.

Madison Tadusz, Lancaster, field hockey — Stopped 10 shots in three shutouts, including 1-0 victory over cross-town rival Iroquois, for 10-1 Legends.
