Williamsville residents will consider the future of Ellicott Creek later this month as part of a local plan to evaluate land use and waterfront resources.
The village is in the process of preparing a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program that will enable it to develop a strategy to manage and protect resources along the creek.
A public information meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in Village Hall, 5565 Main St. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. to allow the public to see maps of existing conditions. Attendees will get to offer their input on what they think is important for the future of the Ellicott Creek waterfront, and help the project planning team identify issues and opportunities in the creek area of the village.
The information gathered will help determine where potential projects could be conducted for improving the use and enjoyment of the waterfront.
As work continues, draft materials and progress reports will be made available to the public for review and additional input.
