The Buffalo Bandits have signed first-round draft pick Brent Noseworthy to a two-year contract, the team announced.
Noseworthy, a defenseman/transition player from the University of Michigan, was selected 12th overall in the National Lacrosse League entry draft two weeks ago. He finished his college career with a school-record 102 goals and his 119 career points ranked second in school history.
The Bandits also signed sixth-round draft pick Joel Watson to a one-year deal. Watson, a goaltender listed at 6 feet, 4 inches and 308 pounds, played the last three seasons for his hometown Whitby Warriors of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League. He went 16-16-1 with an 8.70 goals against average.
The Bandits signed defensemen Reid Acton and Chukwuemeka Okaeme to one-year deals. Acton spent the 2016 season with the Georgia Swarm, with an assist in eight games and appeared in 10 games in 2018 for the Bandits. Okaeme has played for the West Durham Ironheads of the Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League for the past five seasons.
