WARM AND FUZZY – There are no YouTube videos in the annual Cat Film Festival and Dog Film Festival, both of which start today at the North Park Theatre, 1428 Hertel Ave. The two-hour programs feature a variety of short animated, documentary and narrative films about pets and people.
Cat films are at 2 and 7 p.m. today and Monday, 2 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Dog films are at 4:30 p.m. today through Monday and at 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Afternoon screenings continue through next Thursday.
Tickets are $8.50 matinees, $10.50 evenings, $7.50 seniors. Part of the proceeds benefit Ten Lives Club Cat Adoption Group. For more info, visit northparktheatre.org.

SUCCESS STORY – A recent graduate will be the guest speaker as Niagara University holds a Fall Open House for high school students at 10 a.m. Sept. 7.
Courtney Corbetta, who received her degree in communications studies in 2015, will talk about how NU prepared her to become a feature reporter and co-host of “AM Buffalo” on WKBW-TV.
Visitors also will learn about NU’s 80-plus majors, admissions and financial aid and tour the campus. Optional information sessions will focus on sports management, communication and media studies. To register, visit niagara.edu/openhouse.
