Amherst motorcyclist dies in collision with minivan in Buffalo

A 26-year-old man from Amherst died after his motorcycle collided with a minivan Thursday night in Buffalo, according to the Buffalo Police Department.

Buffalo police say that at approximately 8 p.m. Thursday, the motorcycle was eastbound on Clinton Street when it struck a minivan that was making a left-hand turn onto the I-190 North on-ramp.

The motorcyclist was taken to Erie County Medical Center with serious injuries and he was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. His name has not been released.

The 19-year-old who was driving the minivan was treated and released from ECMC.

The incident is under investigation by the Buffalo Police Department's Accident Investigation Unit.
