An Erie County Health Department worker was sentenced to three years probation for falsifying food safety inspections, the Erie County District Attorney's Office announced Thursday.
As part of his sentence, Timothy Bean, 49, of Hamburg, must perform 200 hours of community service. Bean appeared before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case.
Bean admitted that he falsified food safety reports while working as a public health sanitarian from Nov. 16 to Dec. 14, 2018.
Bean pleaded guilty to 14 misdemeanor counts of official misconduct on June 4.
Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn commended Detective Dan Brinkerhoff of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office for his work on this case.
The case was prosecuted by Chief Candace Vogel of the DA’s Special Investigations and Prosecutions Bureau.
