JOINT EFFORT – Service clubs will discuss ways to work together on community support programs when the Town of Wheatfield Lions Club hosts a Service Clubs Steak Night at 6 p.m. Thursday in Wheatfield Five Senses Park Pavilion, 6535 Ward Road, next to Wheatfield Post 1451, American Legion.
Those taking part include the Niagara-Wheatfield Kiwanis Club, the Niagara County Rotary Club, the Town of Niagara Lions Club, Wheatfield Business Association and the Sanborn Business and Professional Association. Co-host is the St. David’s District Lions Club from Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont.

GET A PRICE – The Northeast regional sales manager for Beckett Grading Services, Charles Stabile, will assess collectible cards and other memorabilia from noon to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in Bases Loaded Sports Collectibles, 794 French Road, Cheektowaga. Those who can’t attend can drop off their cards in advance.

INSPIRATION POINT – Two European artists who have been in Buffalo under an exchange program for the past six weeks will present the works they created here in “BuBu 2.0,” an exhibit opening with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Eleven Twenty Projects, 1120 Main St.
Zsolt Bodoni, who is based in Nagyvarad, Romania, and Budapest, Hungary, has been doing watercolor studies that form the basis of large-scale acrylic paintings. Here he has used airbrush and is experimenting with a paper that creates a photographic effect.
Marton Nemes, a multimedia artist from London, England, uses a wide range of materials to create abstractions that reflect his fascination with the counterculture. The exhibition will be on view through next Wednesday by appointment. For more info, call 882-8100 or visit
