Baseball camp in Hamburg to benefit West Side immigrant youth

A four-day baseball camp starting Monday in the Village of Hamburg will benefit immigrant children from West Side Community Services, announced State Assemblyman Sean Ryan.

Transportation and baseball instruction will be provided by the village's Department of Parks & Recreation with staff members driving the children to and from the West Side center at 161 Vermont St. and Legion Field, 2 Memorial Drive.

Participants will receive breakfast and lunch daily donated by Hamburg restaurants and baseball gloves donated by Dick’s Sporting Goods – so they can continue to practice the sport after the camp concludes.

Several coaches from Hamburg Little League donated their time to act as instructors for the camp.
