Letter: Southern border opinion is drawn from falsehoods

While I defend the right of the area’s best-known Vietnam warrior to voice his opinion that the U.S. government (read, U.S. Border Patrol) is committing an atrocity on the southern border, I know that opinion to be false. To rely on the congresswoman from Minnesota’s description of inhumane treatment when her claim of detainees forced drinking from toilets proved to be untrue, indicates that writer’s lack of knowledge.

Having been a Border Patrol Agent and observing our facilities first hand, I can assure you that they are well run, clean, orderly and well supplied. The writer’s own progressive party is the major stumbling block to solving the southern border crisis. After all, five years ago the writer was voicing opposite opinions!
