VIOLANTI - Louis Of Lackawanna, entered into rest August 12, 2019. Beloved husband of Rita (nee Tiberia); devoted father of Lu Ann (Patrick) Nash, Janice (David) Pienta, Dr. Paul (Deborah) Violanti, Gary, Esq. (Antoinette) Violanti, Patrice Violanti (late Gary Castanza), Joel, Esq. (Mary) Violanti, Nancy (Matthew) Gregoire, Marilyn (Michael) Reardon, and Louis, Esq. (Kelly) Violanti; cherished grandfather of 26 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; loving son of the late Joseph and Vincenzina Violanti; dear brother of Josephine (Gerald) Bednarz and the late Mamie (late Eugene) Kusmierz; also survived by nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and cousins. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Wednesday and Thursday from 4-8 PM, where Prayers will be held on Friday morning at 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church at 11:30. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Louie was an avid sportsman, a United States World War II Navy veteran, founding member of Gulf Stream Rod & Gun Club, owner of Violanti Cantina & Takeout, and a retired Detective Sergeant with the Erie County Sheriff's Department.
