Man, 23, charged with trespassing overnight at Buffalo Zoo

A 23-year-old man was charged early Wednesday morning with trespassing at the Buffalo Zoo, according to a police report.

Zoo security told police the man jumped over a fence along Amherst Street into the zoo at about 3:20 a.m., according to the report.

When a security guard confronted the fence-jumper, he hopped back over the fence. Police located the man on Amherst Street, between Parkside and Colvin avenues, and he was identified by security as the man who entered the zoo property, according to the report.

Conar T. Jones, of Prospect Avenue, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, and placed under arrest at about 3:45 a.m., according to the report.
