Two Buffalo-area teens have been charged with second-degree reckless endangerment in connection with a fireworks incident that allegedly caused an injury July 4 on Bayshore Drive in the Van Buren Bay community, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The Sheriff’s Office said that an 18-year-old woman from Amherst and a 19-year-old man from Buffalo were arrested Monday, and released pending an appearance in Pomfret Town Court.
The report did not give their names.
The arrests were made following investigation of an incident in which a 58-year-old woman was struck by a projectile firework allegedly fired from a neighboring property, the Sheriff’s Office said. She was taken to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo for evaluation.
