Kolbe Burrell, a three-star running back from Philadelphia, has committed to the University at Buffalo football program, he announced on Twitter.
Burrell, listed at 5-9 and 189 pounds, ran for 923 yards and 12 touchdowns on 158 carries last season for St. Joseph's Prep.
He also had offers from Rutgers, Temple, Toledo and Bowling Green, among others.
"I spent a lot of time up there visiting and checking out the program," Burrell said. "Coach K (offensive coordinator and running backs coach Andy Kotelnicki) really impressed me as an RB coach and I felt I could learn a lot from him. The coaching staff showed a lot of interest in me and what I can contribute in their offense. I went up for a camp and got a chance to work with the coaches and that allowed me to have enough info to make my final decision to commit."
