The BBC Band, a Beatles cover group, will headline a 1960s-themed fundraising party July 25 for the Castellani Art Museum at Niagara University.
"Come Together" is the title of the party, open only to those over age 21, set for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 25 outside the museum. The event goes on rain or shine, a museum spokeswoman said. Tickets are $20 for most, $15 for museum members.
Besides the music, Muhammad Zaman, a local artist, will create an on-site mural, and guests can join him in painting it. Dan Buttery of Black Lab Metal Fab, also will be on hand to weld a sculpture.
Food will be sold by Lloyd Taco Truck, Gallo Coal Fire Kitchen and Brickyard BBQ & Pub.
Tours of the CAM, as it's sometimes called, will be available. It's the only visual arts museum in Niagara County, with a collection of 5,500 pieces, including works by Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, Louise Nevelson, Cindy Sherman and Robert Rauschenberg.
