Niagara Falls Police reported that they arrested two Falls residents in 13 hours for incidents in the drive-thru line at the McDonald’s restaurant in the City Market, 1726 Pine Ave.
Shawn J. Specht, 43, of Niagara Falls Boulevard, was taken into custody just before 2 p.m. Saturday after he allegedly was begging money from customers waiting in the drive-thru line, police said. He was charged with trespass and aggressive panhandling.
Shalayna S. Sanders, 24, of 27th Street, was arrested just before 3 a.m. Sunday after officers said they found her asleep at the wheel of her car, which had jumped the curb and come to rest against some bushes in the restaurant’s drive-thru line.
Police said that she refused a Breathalyzer test, but failed four of five field sobriety tests that were administered to her. She was charged with driving while impaired and driving while intoxicated, as well as the test refusal.
