McGuire Development Co., the real estate brokerage and development arm of nursing home operator McGuire Group, has expanded its presence in the Florida market with a new Fort Lauderdale office.
A "core team" from the Buffalo-based developer has been focusing for years on building relationships in South Florida, to cultivate teams that could take on "unique" projects, according to the company's announcement.
McGuire CEO Jim McGuire also has been investing in the state since the mid-1990s, particularly in the Naples area, while his family has been an "active development and property owner" since the mid-1970s, the company said. The company has pursued multiple projects in Naples, Coco Beach and Fort Lauderdale, including Colliers Health Park, Airport Pulling Property and Bayshore Yacht & Tennis Club.
The new office expands on that initiative by giving the company an established space so it can duplicate its Western New York model there.
