Borderland Music + Arts Festival and The Buffalo News are hosting a battle of the bands, in which one local band or performer will be selected to play the Borderland Festival on Sept. 22 and be showcased alongside 24 national and regional bands.
Borderland Music + Arts Festival is a two-day music and arts festival held at Knox Farm State Park in East Aurora, and this year is featuring Gov't Mule, Greensky Bluegrass, Mavis Staples, Shakey Graves and many others.
If you feel like your band fits the vibe of this festival and want to rock out at Knox Farm State Park, please read below and submit an entry for the Battle of the Borderland Bands.
As part of the contest, there will be two rounds of fan voting on BuffaloNews.com and three finalists playing August shows before a panel of judges at one of the following venues: 42 North Brewing Company, Buffalo Iron Works or the Sportsmen's Tavern.

To enter the contest
Email your band's entry to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include:
Name of band.
Link to one YouTube video of one of your band's songs.
Description of band's music in 100 words or less.
Contact information (phone and email) of band leader.
One high-resolution photo with permission for The Buffalo News and Borderland Music + Arts Festival to use.
Participants must be available to play Aug. 18, 21 or 28, as the three finalists will be chosen to play one of those dates, as well as as Sept. 22 for the Borderland Festival.
Participants must perform original music, with appropriate lyrics for a family friendly event.
Participants must live/perform within a 60-mile radius of Buffalo.
All entries must be received by July 26.
