KLETTKE, Jean Ruth (Camann)

KLETTKE - Jean Ruth (nee Camann)
Age 89, joined the Church Triumphant on July 7, 2019 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born April 27, 1930, to Franklin and Rosa (Jagow) Camann; she grew up in Bergholz (Town of Wheatfield). Jean was a life-long member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church and School, and graduated from LaSalle High School. Jean married Ivan "Corky" Klettke on July 12, 1952. For most of her life, Jean was a homemaker. In later years, she served as secretary in the family land surveying business. She volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, PTL and the Ladies' Aide Society. She held offices in the Bergholz Fire Company Ladies' Auxiliary and Historical Society of North German Settlements in WNY, worked as an elections inspector for the Niagara County Board of Elections, and was a member of the Valparaiso University Guild. Jean is survived by her four sons, Neal (Sue), Russell, Bart (Gloria) and Matthew (Kareen); nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Corky (2000), and siblings, Edna McClenathan, Wilmer Camann and Marion Meitz. Visitation will be held at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Christian service and burial will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, 6630 Luther Street, Bergholz. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Klettke's name to the Holy Ghost Endowment Fund, or the Alzheimer's Association.
