The Sheila Divine performs 'Party FOR the Portico'

The outdoor "Party on the Portico" has been a summertime staple at the Buffalo History Museum in recent years. But this year, the series was put on hold for a good reason: the long-awaited restoration work on the portico.

On Aug. 16, the party returns in a special "Party FOR the Portico" concert by Boston, Mass.-based band The Sheila Divine, fronted by Hamburg native Aaron Perrino.

Advance tickets are $20 general and $10 for museum members and go on sale Monday through Buffalohistory.org. A limited number of VIP tickets are $35 and include a band meet and greet, premium reserved space and an exclusive upgraded bar. At the door, tickets will be $25 general and $15 for museum members. VIP tickets are only available in advance.

Doors open at 5 p.m. with music starting at 6 p.m. It is a 21-and-older event. There will be a cash bar and free snacks.

At the event, concertgoers will be able to see the progress made on the restoration work and take mini-tours.
