Sanborn car show to benefit Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center

A classic car show in Sanborn Saturday will benefit the cardiac and stroke care center at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

The fourth annual Robert Steinjan Sr. Memorial Car Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hoover's Dairy, 6045 Ward Road.

The show is named for a local man who was treated at Memorial for a stroke and heart attack. Steinjan died in 2015 at age 76.

His family was impressed by the level of care and decided to hold a car show every year until they raised $25,000 for the cardiac and stroke center at the hospital.

Even though that goal was exceeded by last year's proceeds, the car show continues, this year marking what would have been Steinjan's 80th birthday. Memorial has named the family education room in the cardiac and stroke center after Steinjan.
