A Georgia man with two outstanding warrants from the Buffalo Police was arrested at the Peace Bridge allegedly with a loaded pistol in his luggage, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The 24-year-old man, whose name was not released by U.S. Customs, is a resident of Snellville.
On June 24, Border Protection officers, using non-intrusive inspection technology, allegedly discovered a loaded pistol inside the man's luggage.
A further investigation revealed that the man was not legally authorized to possess a pistol in New York State. A secondary inspection confirmed that he was allegedly wanted by Buffalo Police for petit larceny and criminal mischief stemming from a March 11, 2018, incident, Border Protection officers said.
The man was turned over to Buffalo Police.
