Crash leads to arrest of 2 in connection with alleged larceny at Boulevard Mall

Two individuals in an alleged larceny at the Boulevard Mall were arrested Tuesday night after their car crashed on Buffalo’s East Side, Amherst police reported.

According to police, charges were pending against Shaun Connors, 30, of Depew, and Vanessa Armstead, 30, of Buffalo.

Amherst police said individuals in the alleged larceny, which occurred at about 8:15 p.m., fled in a red Chevrolet Impala, which collided with another vehicle at East Ferry and Leslie streets.

Connors and Armstead were taken into custody after a brief foot chase, police said.

Assisting at the scene of the collision were Buffalo police, the Buffalo Fire Department and Niagara Frontier Transit Authority police.
