The Amherst Industrial Development Agency is scheduled to hold a public hearing at 8:30 a.m. next Thursday at the agency's offices about Evans Bank's plan to move its administrative offices to Amherst from Hamburg.
Evans officials say the bank needs larger offices to accommodate its growth and combine some operations into one place. The bank said it was unable to find a suitable new location in Hamburg, but plans to acquire and equip 6460 Main St. in Amherst, which is vacant.
Evans estimates the total cost of its project at $7.65 million. The full amount of the incentives the bank would be eligible for is not yet determined.
