Gunfire claims a second life in Buffalo this weekend

Gunfire has claimed a second life in Buffalo this weekend, Buffalo police reported Sunday.

A 25-year-old Buffalo man was declared dead at Erie County Medical Center after being shot about 9 p.m. Saturday in the first block of Greenwood Place, between Lafayette and West Delavan avenues, police spokesman Michael DeGeorge said. Police did not provide further details.

A 16-year-old boy was fatally wounded Friday evening when gunfire broke out during a graduation party in the Kenfield/Langfield Homes on Oakmont Avenue, police said. He was pronounced dead at ECMC. Neither victim has been identified.
