Endorsed Republicans set to win in Hamburg Town Board GOP primary

Two newcomers backed by the Republican party were poised to claim victory in Tuesday’s contentious primary in Hamburg for a pair of Town Board seats.

Amy McKnight and Daniel Celani were leading Councilmen Tom Best Jr. and Michael Mosey in a four-way primary that sets the stage for November’s general election.

With 100% of precincts reporting, McKnight and Celani each have 27% of the vote, followed by Best at 24% and Mosey at 23%. The winners will face off in November against endorsed Democrats Shawn P. Connolly and Karen L. Hoak.
