June 20 – Boston Valley Conservation Society, 9624 Zimmerman Road, Boston, will host a 6-week, 300-target registered Doubles Trap League on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

June 20 – Lake Erie Chapter – Federation of Fly Fishers monthly meeting at American Legion Post 735, West Seneca, starting at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Brad Green on musky fishing and fly tying. Fly casting will take place from 6 to 6:45 p.m. at the Cazenovia Creek Access Site on Leydecker Road, West Seneca.

June 26 – Alberto Rey’s Lost Beauty 1 talk at the Anderson Gallery, Buffalo, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to discuss his book Extinct Birds Project (www.extinctbirdsproject.com)

June 26 – Safe Harbor open bass league one-day contest out of Safe Harbor Marina, Buffalo, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. $40 for one- or two-person teams. Best 3 fish. Pay at the launch.

June 27 – Erie County Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs monthly meeting at Hamburg Rod and Gun Club, 3434 Hickox Road, Hamburg, starting at 7 p.m. Hosted by the Lake Erie Chapter of Fly Fishers International.

July 7 – A stroll through the woods at Whirlpool State Park, Niagara Falls from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. To register call 282-5154.

July 9 – Niagara Musky Association monthly meeting (date changed this month) at the Eldredge Club, 17 Broad Street, Tonawanda, starting at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Hawk Creek Wildlife Center with live birds of prey.

July 9 – Second Amendment for Ever monthly meeting at the Wilson Conservation Club, Route 425, Wilson, starting at 7 p.m.

July 10 – Summer Trap League at the Alden Rod & Gun Club, 12 County Line Road, Alden, through Sept. 20. This is a 300-bird scratch league. All shooters welcome. Fridays 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesdays from noon to 2 p.m. For more info call Tom Ess at 431-9292.
