Former University at Buffalo guard CJ Massinburg posted Friday night on his personal Instagram page that he will join the Brooklyn Nets as an undrafted free agent.
Massinburg was honored as the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year in March after he led the Bulls with 18.2 points per game. He was named to the All-MAC first team after his junior season.
He finished the 2019-20 regular season with 1,910 career points, the second-highest total in school history.
NetsDaily.com reported on Thursday that Massinburg had worked out with the Nets before the draft.
He becomes the second member of the 2019-20 UB team to sign with an NBA squad after Nick Perkins signed with the Los Angeles Lakers earlier Friday night.
