Buffalo restaurant community to throw Anthony Bourdain birthday party

Buffalo restaurants, bars and cooks are banding together to celebrate Anthony Bourdain by throwing him a birthday party.

On June 24, the second edition of A Cooks Tour Buffalo will pay homage to Bourdain, the culinary star who died of suicide last year. Bourdain’s birthday was June 25.

Zamir Gotta, Bourdain’s sidekick on episodes of “No Reservations,” will be on hand, along with members of Buffalo’s restaurant community.

Held at Kleinhans Music Hall, the gathering will raise money for Crisis Services, said organizer Jill Gedra.

VIP tickets are $83 and include early admission at 5:30 p.m.; tickets are $63 for regular admission at 6:30 p.m. Buy tickets here.
