John Yurtchuk, owner and chairman of Calspan, has been elected chairman of the Daemen College Board of Trustees, and Stephen Zenger, chairman and CEO of Zenger Group, was appointed as a new trustee of the Daemen board.
"We are pleased to have two such distinguished leaders in our community serve in these roles and are confident they will contribute great insight and experience to our board," said Dr. Thomas Stewart, immediate past chairman of the Daemen board, in a statement Tuesday.
In addition to being instrumental in developing Calspan's new flight research facility in Niagara Falls, Yurtchuk also founded Matrix Development Corp. He also is chairman-elect/vice chairman of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Board of Trustees.
Zenger joined the family-owned Zenger Group, a leader in Western New York's printing industry for more than 30 years, after earning his bachelor's degree in communications from the University at Buffalo.
