N.Y. State corrections officer accused of having sex with inmates

A New York State corrections officer has been charged with sex crimes after authorities accused him of having sexual relations with two female inmates at Albion Correctional Facility, where he worked.

David F. Stupnick, 26, of Medina, was charged Friday with two felony counts of third-degree criminal sex act and misdemeanor counts of second-degree sexual abuse and official misconduct, state police said.

The arrest by state police came after an investigation by the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations.

Stupnick, who was paid $59,636 by the state in 2018, was issued tickets requiring he appear at Albion Town Court next month.
