Kimberly Suminski will begin her new job as chief executive officer at the Child Care Resource Network in Buffalo on May 28, the organization's board of directors announced.
Suminski is leaving her position as director of the Early Childhood Direction Center with Kaleida Health and the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital.
Since 2016, Suminski has served as the director. Prior to that, she worked for 25 years in different educational posts ranging from preschool director to high school principal.
At the Child Care Resource Network, Suminski replaces Amanda Kelkenberg, who recently moved to Florida to serve in a similar position.
"We are thrilled at the level of knowledge and understanding she brings with her to her new role," the board said in a statement.
The Child Care Resource Network is a nonprofit organization assisting families in finding child care, training caregivers, and monitoring of some day cares.
