Housleys' waterfront condo sold to concrete industry exec for $710,000

Phil Housley's waterfront condo sold for $710,000 after three days on the market.

The former Sabres coach, who was fired in April after two seasons in the job, and his wife, Karin, had bought the 1,939-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo on Lakefront Boulevard for $690,000 in 2017.

The seventh-floor condo in the Pasquale was listed for $719,000 by Howard Hanna and sold in three days, said Chrissy Hoffman, the licensed associate real-estate broker who handled the listing.

The condo has floor-to-ceiling windows spanning 30 feet across, giving panoramic views of Lake Erie, Canada and the marina.

The sale to Peter J. Romano Jr., and his wife, Colleen, closed on Wednesday. Peter Romano served since 2012 as president and CEO of United Materials, the Depew-based supplier of ready-mix concrete and building materials, which was sold in March to Votorantim Cimentos North America.

The Housleys' home base remained in Minnesota, where Karin Housley is a state senator and most of the family is located, even as Phil coached the Sabres.
