10 displaced after suspected arson on Genesee near Cheektowaga border

Ten people are being assisted by the Red Cross after an early morning fire on Genesee Street that police believe was started by someone who ignited the building with a Molotov cocktail.

The suspected arson at 2255 Genesee, close to the city line with Cheektowaga, was reported around 2:40 a.m., according to a Buffalo police report.

A Red Cross spokesman said volunteers from the organization are helping three adults and seven children displaced by that blaze.
