After announcing a series of rock acts, Canalside has unveiled the first rapper coming to the Buffalo waterfront this summer: T.I.
The Atlanta, Ga.-born hip-hop star, who broke out in the early 2000s, will perform at 5 p.m. June 29 at 44 Prime St.
VIP tickets are $40 and are on sale now through Eventbrite. The VIP ticket includes access to the Honda VIP Pavilion, two complimentary drinks, private restrooms and front-of-stage access. The VIP section has been enlarged and stretches from Main Street to the Beer Garden. A series of additional packages are available, too, with a $200 meet-and-greet (does not include concert ticket), too.
Tickets are $10 general admission and go on sale at 10 a.m. April 22 through eventbrite.com. They will also be available beginning May 1 at Consumer’s Beverages locations and the Canalside Info Kiosk. Tickets purchased at Consumer’s Beverages and at the Canalside info kiosk prior to 2 p.m. on the day of the show will include a free drink coupon.
T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr., is known best for his solo effort "Whatever You Like" in 2008, but also two collaborations with Justin Timberlake - "Dead and Gone" and "My Love" - one with Rihanna ("Live Your Life") and "Blurred Lines" with Robin Thicke and Pharrell.
T.I's most recent work is "Dime Trap," released last year, marking his 10th studio album; he also boasts 15 years worth of film credits to his name, too.
