Rapper T.I. announced for Canalside Live Concert Series

After announcing a series of rock acts, Canalside has unveiled the first rapper coming to the Buffalo waterfront this summer: T.I.

The Atlanta, Ga.-born hip-hop star, who broke out in the early 2000s, will perform at 5 p.m. June 29 at 44 Prime St.

VIP tickets are $40 and are on sale now through Eventbrite. The VIP ticket includes access to the Honda VIP Pavilion, two complimentary drinks, private restrooms and front-of-stage access. The VIP section has been enlarged and stretches from Main Street to the Beer Garden. A series of additional packages are available, too, with a $200 meet-and-greet (does not include concert ticket), too.

Tickets are $10 general admission and go on sale at 10 a.m. April 22 through They will also be available beginning May 1 at Consumer’s Beverages locations and the Canalside Info Kiosk. Tickets purchased at Consumer’s Beverages and at the Canalside info kiosk prior to 2 p.m. on the day of the show will include a free drink coupon.

T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr., is known best for his solo effort "Whatever You Like" in 2008, but also two collaborations with Justin Timberlake - "Dead and Gone" and "My Love" - one with Rihanna ("Live Your Life") and "Blurred Lines" with Robin Thicke and Pharrell.

T.I's most recent work is "Dime Trap," released last year, marking his 10th studio album; he also boasts 15 years worth of film credits to his name, too.

The rapper joins Incubus, Psychedlic Furs with james, and The Struts with The Glorious Sons as shows announced so far for the Canalside Live Concert Series.
