Arrests made for alleged meth production in presence of children

Three people were arrested on methamphetamine manufacturing charges, with two of them also charged with endangering the welfare of a child following an incident Saturday night, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office.

Officials said Karl J. Ginnery, 34; Cortney A. Ginnery, 24; and James E. Bowker, 20, were arrested for third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine after deputies responded to a check-the-welfare call on Main Street in the Town of Hinsdale.

Deputies said an investigation revealed that there were children in the house in addition to meth manufacturing supplies and byproducts.

Karl J. Ginnery and Cortney A. Ginnery were each charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and were taken to Allegany Court for arraignment and remanded to the jail on $10,000 bail.
