PARTY TIME – The 22nd annual Paczki Day provides a pre-Lenten celebration, Polish-style, from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Holy Mother of the Rosary Cathedral, 6298 Broadway, Lancaster.
The band Special Delivery plays polkas from 2 to 6 p.m., the Polish Heritage Dancers perform at 3 p.m. and the kitchen will provide Polish favorites, including paczki pastries. There also will be crowning of a Paczki king, queen, prince and princess.

The Abanalan Band

ST. PATRICK’S PREVIEW – The Abanalan Band, a quartet of veteran local Irish musicians, brings a variety of traditional instruments and Celtic tunes to the Carnegie Art Center, 240 Goundry St., North Tonawanda, for a performance at 6:30 p.m. Friday. COLORFUL PAST – Historian Gene Overdorf, a lifelong resident of Buffalo’s Old First Ward, will share his knowledge of the neighborhood in a program entitled “Irish First Ward: Its People and Places” at 2 p.m. Sunday in Tewksbury Lodge, 249 Ohio St. Admission is $10.
