A man has been charged with first-degree rape and first-degree assault in Niagara Falls, police said.
City police have released few details, but said officers were called to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center on Saturday night for a reported assault.
After an investigation, they arrested Eduardo E. Rodriguez, Capt. Kelly J. Rizzo said in an email.
Rodriguez was arraigned Wednesday in Niagara Falls City Court and held without bail, Rizzo said.
Police officials have scheduled a news conference at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to provide more information about the case.
